Morning everyone!
First and foremost I am really excited about this opportunity to learn and grow so much this summer with Ideal. My first day was 4/29 and I was placed at the Toyota Ann Arbor site with my mentor, Derek Woloszyk. Currently, we are working hard as possible to close up the Power-train Expansion project with Toyota and begin a few smaller jobs they have for us. I am excited because I get to see what it looks like to close up a job as well as be part of the start of projects.
Over the last month, I have learned a lot about the processes of ending a job, additionally to starting one. This being from learning about Toyota’s process of turning over equipment using Kanbans or creating placards for the equipment. So with this, I have learned about the site and what has been completed here. I have been exposed to reading construction drawing and specs books. This made it possible for me to help in the process of creating submittal logs for future projects.
Last week even more exciting, I was able to meet all of the other interns, get to know them, and about the things they have accomplished plus what they want to achieve for the summer it was a really fun experience. I really look forward to this summer of working with them and visiting their sites.
Lastly, I will do my best to provide pictures whenever possible but Toyota has quite a strict picture policy.
