Week 7 – UofM LSA/Operators Training – Miranda Zamora

This week the BuildU interns were able to visit an operators training site! It was a very fun experience because we were able to tour the site to see how the apprentices train there. The interns and I were given the chance to learn excavate which was very cool to do! My dad is a foreman and he has been working in the construction industry for over 20 years now and I was very proud to show him a picture of me operating an excavator. I appreciate all of the hardworking superintendents, foremen, journeymen, ironworkers, apprentices, etc. Without their hard work and commitment we wouldn’t have some really cool stuff!
