Week 7-Flint M5 – Chelsey Bejarano

We have finally started setting steel!!! I have been waiting for this day since I started. It has defiantly taken time to get to this point but I am excited to see it start going up. Currently this week in the “GA Building” lots 1301 and 1302 will be set. Working with Mark this week I have learned the importance and difficulty of a construction schedule. I have watched Mark and Tony go back and forth trying to fit with the restrictions that Barton Malow has given them and the deliveries from Bristol. I have also seen the importance of a scheduler going onto the jobsite and having construction knowledge, there were a few set backs in the schedule because of this fact. Below you will see pictures of the first columns being set. The first columns were those that will sit on the existing General Motors building.
