Week 6 – UofM LSA – Miranda Zamora

Things at LSA are going really well! The structure is almost complete and then we’re moving on to the UofM Union building! It’s been cool to see a structure go up from start to finish. However, I still haven’t experienced the entire process of a steel project. The UofM Union project will give me the opportunity to see bid drawings, crane plans, erection plans, etc. This will be my first time seeing a job at its very beginning and it’s so exciting! I will also be familiar with the process and most importantly, know what everyone is talking about when they talk about steel (kind of) I still have a lot to learn! The cool thing is that I’ll see a project wrap up and see another one start up!
