Project Overview

Ideal Contracting was awarded the self-perform civil, concrete, miscellaneous steelwork, and select demolition for the Milford Powertrain Buildings 1 through 5 Renovation project. Ideal designed and added distinct architectural features to enhance and incorporate GM’s workplace of the choice initiative.

Ideal Contracting worked with the project design team through various challenges throughout this project. The renovated buildings were first built on this site dating back to 1918. While the construction of these buildings was sound, the previous construction methods and materials made new designs and services difficult to integrate. The work performed included a complete gut and remodel of various office spaces. On top of that, mechanical rework, electrical, data, controls, carpeting, furniture, and state-of-the-art audio/ visual for new conference spaces were also completely updated.
