Ideal Contracting served as Walbridge’s structural steel trade partner for the General Motors Orion Assembly project. The scope of work consisted of erecting all structural and miscellaneous steel for GM’s new 805,000 SF body shop addition, as well as various associated steel utility trestles and a switch house structure.
Our team was proud to collaborate with Walbridge, GM, and our other project partners to bring the GM Orion Assembly project to life. Ideal Contracting erected over 10,000 tons of steel for the body shop addition, which ties into GM’s existing assembly shop in Lake Orion, MI.
