The General Motors Global Technical Center Water Meter project consists of seven to eight buildings across the campus. These buildings, many of which are being built from the ground up, will be equipped with a new water meter valve system. This is in an effort by General Motors to more accurately monitor the amount of water that is flowing into their Warren campus.
Ideal Contracting was chosen to lead this project because of our team’s extensive knowledge of the campus and history of completing similar valve engineering projects. Our Special Projects team is actively completing the Water Meter project via ground-up construction of new buildings as well as renovating and repurposing existing buildings on campus. The project will span over four to five years in total, with two of the buildings currently under construction.
Thus far, the team has faced a few challenges during construction, including working around the multiple utilities that are located in the work area. These challenges have been approached through a collaborative effort between GM, Ideal Contracting, and our project partners so that any interruptions to day-to-day operations on the Global Technical Center campus are avoided.
We are eager to hear from you so that we may provide our expertise and resources based on your specific needs. We work hard to deliver real solutions in real time, no matter how big or small.
