The City of Detroit chose Ideal Contracting as the Construction Manager for the Eastern Market Parking Garage Restoration project. The 2-story, 87,900 SF parking garage consists of 330 parking spaces.
The scope of work for this project included the design, installation, and maintenance of the entire shoring system. Numerous repairs were required for the concrete slabs, columns, walls, and sidewalks. Also included in the project scope was replacing all garage signage, removing a brick facade, painting the exterior concrete, and updating the HVAC, plumbing, and electrical and fire systems.
