Project Overview:

As a major renovation for FCA, the SHAP 2018 program included a complete renovation to the 356,250 square-foot Sterling Heights Assembly Paint South Paint Shop. Following the completion of the project the paint shop will produce final painting and coating of the RAM 1500 Truck series.

Throughout the project Ideal installed 814 tons of Structural steel along with 114 tons of Miscellaneous steel. Which included the installation of the monorail and penthouse platform, base and clear coat powder booth infill steel, gratings, and walkways. Along with the PTED Tank and RTO supports. Phase two consisted of 138 cubic-yards of concrete installation for base coat, clear coat and powder booths.

This project presented unique challenges to the Ideal team. Material had to be strategically coordinated with multiple trades to get in and out of the building, on time and meeting the project schedule.
