Project Overview:
The Detroit Regional Convention Facility began turning their plans for the new Cobo Center into a reality. The major renovation was to create a suitable space for events that also provided flexible meeting spaces. DRCF also envisioned the new design connecting Cobo Center with the riverfront. Ideal Contracting was awarded the structural steel for the three-story riverfront entrance and atrium as well as the miscellaneous steel package. The Monumental Stair project consisted of the fabrication and installation of a 40-tread stair at the river entrance of the Cobo Hall Events Center located in Detroit, MI. Each tread measured 26’-2” long in length.
