The Jason Hargrove Transit Center project was recently awarded an AGC Build Michigan Award in the Design-Build category. This is the project’s second award since its grand opening in May of 2024. Ideal Contracting was proud to accept the award with our many wonderful project partners at the AGC of Michigan Annual Awards Ceremony at the Motor City Casino in Detroit.
This project transformed the former Dairy Cattle Barn at the historic Michigan State Fairgrounds into a modern transit hub. Located near the intersection of Eight Mile Road and Woodward Avenue, the new Jason Hargrove Transit Center was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Ideal Contracting, DLZ, NORR, the Detroit Building Authority, and the Detroit Department of Transportation. After years of community-focused design and construction, the transit center now delivers modern solutions to thousands of local riders annually.
