Throughout 2023, the Ideal Contracting team has been presented with several safety performance awards. We could not be more proud of everyone in our company for their outstanding commitment to safety on our sites.

AISC Safety Award
The American Institute of Steel Construction Safety Award honors fabricators and erectors whose efforts to keep their employees safe demonstrate their commitment. Specifically, the award measures firm performance by using Days Away, Restricted or Transferred Rate (DART). The DART is a measure of the number of recordable lost work cases per 200,000 man-hours worked.
TAUC Thomas J. Reynolds Safety Award
The TAUC Thomas J. Reynolds Safety Award is also based on a construction firm’s DART rate. Award winners are chosen based on having a DART rate that is at least 25% below the Bureau of Labor Statistics national average for the previous year.

CAM Safety Achievement Award
The CAM Safety Achievement Award recognizes contractors that demonstrate a DART rate and Recordable Injury and Illness rate below 1.6 and 2.5, respectively, while also maintaining an EMR rating below 1.0.
AGC of Michigan Outstanding Safety Performance
The Associated General Contractors of Michigan Outstanding Safety Performance Award recognizes Michigan-based construction firms for their injury incident rates. This rate is based on the number of injury cases a firm experiences during an award year, as it relates to the total amount of work hours generated.
