During the Associated General Contractors of America Annual Convention in Orlando, Ideal Contracting was named a winner of AGC’s Construction Safety Excellence Award. Specifically, our team earned third place in the 650,000 – 1.5 million work-hour category within the Building Division.

Being a finalist for the AGC Construction Safety Excellence Awards signifies that you are one of the top safest contractors across the country. Only 63 contractors achieved the finalist recognition in this year’s competition.

“This is a significant achievement for our team and an exciting validation of our company’s efforts in building and fostering our safety culture,” said Josh Duey, Vice President of Safety Group. “We’re proud to be taking this award back to our team members and highlighting the meaningful results of their commitment and effort. Thank you to AGC of America for this rewarding opportunity and for making our industry safer through this program.”

Each year, AGC of America’s Construction Safety Excellence Awards recognizes companies that go beyond incident rates to demonstrate excellence in safety culture, training, innovation, and risk management. Participants are required to complete a comprehensive application process, judged by members of the national AGC Safety & Health Committee. Selected finalists are then invited to present on their safety program at the AGC Annual Convention to a panel of diverse experts in health and safety.

This was Ideal Contracting’s first time submitting for and being named a finalist in the competition, making the recognition especially meaningful for the team.
