Nick Luxon has been promoted to Sr. Vice President – Construction. He will continue to be responsible for all general contracting and self-perform operations within the company. Nick also manages projects through completion by overseeing scheduling, profitability, quality control, safety, and maintaining customer and subcontractor relations, as well as estimating, business development, and marketing.

Luxon began with Ideal Contracting in 2013 as a Project Director. With over 20 years of industry experience, his background includes working on projects with strong emphasis on self-performed work such as equipment setting, ironwork, concrete, excavation, carpentry, mechanical, and fire protection.

Luxon, a graduate from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction Management, is a member of the EMU Alumni Association and Eastern Michigan Constructors, as well as a graduate of Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business Executive Education.

He remains responsible for all financials, business plan objectives, yard operations manpower and customer relations for the group. Jon will also continue to oversee the corporate safety program and yard operations as well as provide guidance for our diversity and internship programs.

Hautau began with Ideal Contracting in September of 2002 bringing vast experience in effective project management within the automotive, commercial, healthcare, and industrial sectors.

On top of his Service Group duties, Jon also oversees the corporate Safety Department, Yard Operations, as well as our Diversity Program and Build U Internship Program. This versatility and consistency are why Jon has remained an integral part of Ideal Contracting for the last 18 years.

Hautau, studied a Lawrence Technological University in Construction Engineer, he is also a Laborers International Union of North America representative, an AGC board member, as well as an active member of TAUC.

 

inline_188_https://idealcontracting.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Rich-Brown-NO-BACKGROUND-200x300.pngRichard Brown has been promoted to Vice President of Operations for all competitive bid general contracting and steel projects for Ideal Contracting. His responsibilities will include providing overall administrative and technical direction for major projects, while fostering a sense of community among project managers. He’ll also supervise and review project management procedures and oversee the total construction effort to ensure that the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.

Brown began working for Ideal Contracting in 2014, beginning as a Sr. Project Manager before being promoted to Director of Operations in 2018. With 16 years of industry experience, he brings expertise to large-scale industrial and manufacturing projects including self-perform and subcontracting management.

An active board member of IMPACT (Ironworkers Management Progressive Action Cooperative Trust), Rich graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s in Construction Management.

Jennifer initiates construction manager services on our general contracting projects. She administers the progress of the project throughout the program duration and monitors project costs and schedule status.

Torres began working for Ideal Contracting in 2004 as a Project Engineer before being promoted to a Project Manager in 2010. In this most recent year, Jennifer has expanded her responsibilities by running several different project teams successfully on multiple sites. With 18 years of industry experience, she possesses a unique combination of leadership, motivation, project enthusiasm and technical competence to deliver an effective construction program.

Jennifer graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering.

Drew Rodriguez has been promoted to Project Manager. Drew currently is assigned to the General Motors Renaissance Center working on, or assisting with, the numerous projects at the site. Under his new role, Drew will have responsibilities over all operations at the site falling under the Service Group.

Drew began working for Ideal Contracting in 2013. He has served in a variety of roles at numerous sites in Southeast Michigan under our Service Group during this time.

Drew graduated from University of Toledo with a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering.

Lauren DeVerna has been promoted to Sr. Project Engineer. Lauren aids in planning, developing, coordinating, and supervising construction engineering activities. She manages the submittal process, project schedule updates, and RFI process in addition to assisting the project superintendent in monitoring quality workmanship by the trades.

DeVerna began working for Ideal Contracting in 2015. During this time, she has facilitated a plethora of projects at the GM Global Tech Center.

Lauren graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s in Architecture.
