What are you looking to get out of this internship?
Since I was on the Estimating team last year, I am hoping to overcome the constant struggle I had with only seeing things on paper and not being able to experience them in person. I am also looking to grow my knowledge in the industry so I can come out of college eager and well-rounded, hoping to be a company’s perfect fit.
What goals do you have within the construction industry?
There are so many avenues in this industry one can take, so I have no exact goals. My goal right now is to make sure I do something I enjoy doing, even if I explore multiple avenues within the industry.
What has been the best experience in the Build U Internship Program so far?
Being able to walk onto sites and see the drawings that I helped estimate come to life has been the best experience. Additionally, I have enjoyed learning about things that I couldn’t fully understand just from paper documentation.
