Pillars of Ideal: John Clawson

John Clawson is a Senior Project Manager at Ideal Contracting, but his journey into construction began early on his family’s farm in Illinois, where he developed a passion for operating equipment. A former U.S. Marine and a longtime member of Local 324 Operating Engineers, John built his career from the ground up, starting as a Diesel Mechanic in the military and continuing as an Operator in the field.

Now, as a Senior Project Manager, John’s impact is felt throughout Ideal Contracting. From mentoring team members to collaborating on hundreds of projects, he consistently demonstrates the leadership, dedication, and character that make him a true Pillar of Ideal.
