Chippewa Valley Schools Construction CTE Program – Noah Lerchen

Published: February 6, 2026

When Noah Lerchen began his Career Technical Education journey as a high school student, he never imagined he’d return just two years later, this time on the other side of the classroom.

Today, Noah is an apprentice carpenter with Ideal Contracting, sharing his experience with students who now stand where he once stood.

Through the Chippewa Valley CTE program, Noah gained hands-on exposure both in the classroom and on Ideal Contracting job sites, learning from project teams across multiple trades and disciplines. Now, he’s paying it forward by continuing his own apprenticeship while helping introduce the next generation to career opportunities in construction.

We’re proud to support Chippewa Valley’s CTE program and other workforce development initiatives across Southeast Michigan as we help shape the future of our industry.
