General Motors Pontiac is a beautiful facility. I recall visiting here in 2014 back when Chris Fooy was an intern. Fooy is now a hardworking project engineer under Joe Nowakowski. Clay, the intern on this site, joined Sabrina, Richard, and I as Tom (site superintendent) gave us a tour of GM Pontiac building c, where engineers test motors engines from all across the world. It was a fascinating site to see the engineers, with safety glasses, test and develop these new technologies. The cool thing about this visit is that I was able to see much of the progress that was made since my initial visit in 2014. Now on the campus, more parking lots are filled and jobs are being completed, including adding stairs, patios, hand rails, office spaces, kitchens, testing facilities, and so much more. I was very impressed!
Special thanks to Joe, Clay, Chris, and the rest of the staff for the warm welcome. Also thanks to Tom, the superintendent, for taking time out of his busy schedules to give us the tour. I look forward to returning to this site in the near future.
