Through the education of our employees, the integration of new technologies and equipment, and the goal of continuous improvement, we have fostered a culture where everyone builds our success in safety together. Building With a Safety-Focused Mindset

Talent

Ideal Contracting has developed a first-rate team of experienced safety professionals who support the health and well-being of our projects. Our company prioritizes hiring exceptional talent with the ability to properly educate our team members on Ideal Contracting’s safety procedures and protocols. We also continue to develop our safety team through our Build U Internship Program, from which many of our Safety Representatives and Safety Managers have emerged.

Enhanced P.P.E

Our team invests in forward-thinking P.P.E enhancements to continue our pursuit of making our people and our sites safer. These enhancements include the development of customized gloves for our trade personnel, the integration of Type II hard hats company-wide, and most recently, the implementation of ANSI Class 2 compliant fall protection equipment. It is because of our proactive approach that we have solidified ourselves as industry leaders in safety.

Health + Wellbeing

Ideal Contracting is committed to the health and well-being of our team members. From the field to the office, we understand the mental and physical toll that the job can take on individuals within the construction industry. In support of our team, we have developed a fatigue management system geared toward providing our employees with a healthy work-life balance. Additionally, we have a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program from Modern Assistance. This EAP is available to all employees, including our tradesmen and tradeswomen and their families.

Recognizing Safety Champions

Ideal Contracting’s Safety Champion of the Month™ program was formed to identify and acknowledge the outstanding individuals within our company for their support of safety. The coveted title of “Safety Champion of the Month” is awarded to a member of Ideal Contracting each month. The champions are then presented with the Safety Champion of the Month belt to demonstrate their commitment to the safety of their sites.

Safety Training

Many of our customers have their own set of safety standards and protocols, so we place a sincere focus on training our team to appropriately manage any circumstances they may face. Innovative training is developed for our operations team members to comprehend safety-specific programs for our customers. Ideal Contracting also encourages and conducts trainings, such as CPR/AED/First Aid classes, to ensure our team members have adequate access to maintain their certifications.

Near-Miss Reporting

We have adopted a positive outlook on reporting near-miss incidents, which are situations in which a recordable incident was prevented, but the risk for future incidents is still present. Our team places high importance on identifying these incidents, determining the root cause, and implementing preventative measures to prohibit them from occurring again. Through these near-miss reports, the Ideal Contracting team has supported the prevention of countless potential incidents.
