Environmental
Cadillac Urban Gardens was developed in partnership with General Motors to transform a vacant lot to a beautiful garden with assistance from the local youth in Southwest Detroit. Scarcyny Park and Garden was revitalized in efforts to add an aesthetic value to the neighborhood.
Education
We are strong believers in educating and training our youth to prepare them for the workforce. This is precisely why we have helped develop The Corner of Excellence. This includes Holy Redeemer Grade School and Detroit Cristo Rey High School, both of which have become a pipeline for STEAM education.
Collaboration
Ideal Contracting is focused on empowering a sustainable community through collaboration with MotorCity Makeover, General Motors, and Southwest Detroit Environmental Vision. The mission of the collaborative volunteer events is to transform blighted places into cherished community spaces.

teamGM Cares Week
Each year, Ideal Contracting partners with General Motors to give back to our local Southwest Detroit community. During the weeklong teamGM Cares Week, our teams collaborate on a variety of different projects, including work in Scarcyny Park & Garden, Cadillac Urban Gardens, and Detroit Cristo Rey High School.
Scarlet's Playground
As part of our teamGM Cares Week, GM volunteers, along with Ideal Contracting team members, came together to build Scarlet’s Smile Playground, an all-inclusive children’s playground.
